US Patent 3,450,482 "Pencil Lead Holder with Fixed Length Feed," 1967
advertising leaflet distributed with Tru-Point lead pointers
This pencil was manufactured by the Tru Point company that also made the ubiquitous Tru Point lead pointer. As with the lead pointer, Tru-Point would brand this pencil with the markings of other companies, hence this K+E branded version. The mechanism in this pencil is unique. It combines the convenience of auto lead advance and the rigidity of exterior clutch jaws.
