Someone at Sanford apparently thought "02022" rolled off the tongue a little nicer than "10C." A bookkeeper who wanted all the model numbers to line up nice and neat on the black and green display of a computer running DOS, I imagine.

The Eagle Pencil Company's storied line of Turquoise brand drafting pencils and equipment has withered away under the oversight first of Berol then of Sanford leaving only this wretched plastic stick.

Packaging for the Berol Turquoise 10-C which in this case contains a Sanford Turquoise 02022.
